Organic Homemade Tomato Sauce

If you’re an advocate of home-cooked meals, then you must have a tomato sauce recipe in your repertoire. Whether it’s for a quiet night at home or for guests coming over, having your own twist on this tried-and-true staple will surely secure your place as the go-to chef in your social circle.

  1. Pour tomatoes in a bowl and crush them with clean hands.
  2. In a saucepan, cook onion with garlic in oil over medium heat, without browning. Season with salt and pepper.
  3. Add tomatoes. Stir and bring to a boil. Let simmer for about 30 minutes.
  4. Adjust seasoning. Watch out for splashes! You can use a splatter screen to place on the saucepan.
  5. Serve and top with basil leaves and enjoy!

Chef’s Tip: Remember that if you’re expecting visitors (4 people), you should cook 375 g of pasta. You don’t want to be left without enough for everybody!
